The 2nd Pennsylvania Breeding Bird Atlas Project is a long-term project that needs volunteer birders throughout the commonwealth. Join in the fun!

The web site for Hawk Mountain Sanctuary Association gives information on the raptor migration counts and other Hawk Mountain activities.

Information about the Carnegie Museum's Bird Banding Program at Powdermill Nature Preserve expands on what we heard at the September 2004 meeting.

Here is a list of Pennsylvania Important Bird Areas (IBAs), including those in Lancaster County.

The American Birding Association "aims to inspire all people to enjoy and protect birds."

The state-wide chapter of the Audubon Society is Audubon Pennsylvania.

Another contact point for state-wide birding activities, including an active email list of sightings and questions, is the Pennsylvania Society for Ornithology.

The widely-respected Cornell Lab of Ornithology has all manner of birding information available.

There is a British site called FatBirder.com which intends to put as many birders in touch with each other throughout the world as possible "to encourage friendship and conservation." This link is to his collection of Pennsylvania-related web sites.
